Philipp Degen has completed a season-long loan switch to Bundesliga side Vfb Stuttgart.
The Swiss defender was told by Roy Hodgson that he no longer has a future at Liverpool earlier this summer.
On his arrival in Germany, Degen said, “For me this loan represents a great chance to rediscover my best form.”
Degen made just seven league starts for the Reds since joining in 2008.
