Video: What became of the Anfield Cat?

The so-called ‘Anfield Cat’ became a worldwide superstar just minutes after stepping onto the Anfield turf during the first half of last week’s 0-0 draw between Liverpool and Tottenham.

After attracting over 50,000 followers on Facebook, ‘Shankly’ the cat now has a temporary home in Formby, just north of Liverpool.

Shankley/Kenny care is being provided for by Freshfield Animal Rescue Centre.  Why not make a donation.  Many animals like Shankley/Kenny need neutering and medical care.  You can make a difference.

He has a striking resemblence to the ‘Anfield Cat’ of ’83 (adorning the cover of the LFC v Sunderland programme 2/4/83) Possibly a 4th/5th descendant of the original ‘star’ moggy?
