More and more rumours keep flying around Anfield and the internet, some probably ludicrous. So to round them all up for you, here are just a few more around this morning.
- Liverpool will offer Djibril Cisse in a swap deal for Arsenal‘s Thierry Henry.
- Manchester United have joined Liverpool, Newcastle Utd and Tottenham in the race to sign striker Obefami Martins from Inter Milan. The Reds are thought to be offering cash and Fernando Morientes. United may offer out-of-favour Ruud van Nistelrooy, rumoured to be a target for Rafael Benitez.
- Relegated Birmingham City midfielder Jermain Pennant is set to sign for Liverpool and is thought to have already agreed the move in principle.
- Benitez is set to gamble and keep his faith with Djibril Cisse, despite interest from Tottenham and Marseille. The French striker scored 18 goals this season.
Meanwhile (not a rumour!) captain Steven Gerrard was celebrating yesterday when his fiancée Alex Curren gave birth to a little baby girl named Lexie. Congratulations, Stevie and Alex!
