UEFA confirm venue switch

UEFA have confirmed that Liverpool will not play the second leg of the forthcoming Champions League 3rd Qualifying Round against Maccabi Haifa in Israel.

Due to the ongoing conflict between Israel and Lebanon, UEFA have decided to move to game to a neutral venue with Kiev the likely location.

A decision is still to be made on exactly where the match will take place and on what date ‘“ either the 22nd or 23rd of August.

The first leg of the tie takes place on Wednesday night, with Liverpool hosting the Israelis at Anfield.
