Line-up vs Wigan (H): Pennant returns

Jermaine Pennant returns to the Liverpool team tonight after several weeks on the sideline through injury.

The Reds take on Wigan Athletic at Anfield tonight in the Premier League. Anything less than victory will surely spell the end of any title hopes Rafael Benitez’s men have left to salvage.

Pennant lines up in a five man midfield alongside Javier Mascherano, Xabi Alonso, Steven Gerrard and Harry Kewell. Dirk Kuyt drops to the bench, with Fernando Torres the lone striker.

Peter Crouch returns from suspension to make the bench for tonight’s game.

Liverpool: Reina, Finnan, Arbeloa, Carragher, Aurelio, Pennant, Mascherano, Alonso, Gerrard, Kewell, Torres. Subs: Kuyt, Crouch, Benayoun, Riise, Itandje.

Former Reds Chris Kirkland and Emile Heskey make returns to Anfield tonight. Both have been named in the starting line-up.

Kick-off is at 8pm and the game is not being televised in the UK. Join in the in-match discussions with other fans in our forums and chat room.
