It’s the start of Liverpool’s FA Cup campaign and a trip down south to face a Luton Town side who currently sit in the relegation zone of League One and in financial turmoil.

After going into administration in November and haviong a ten point penalty imposed by the F.A., Luton will be looking to this Sky Sports live home tie for some much needed revenue as the administrators continue to look for potential new owners.

Of course the last time the two teams met was en route to the Reds’ last successful FA Cup campaign in 2006, ending in victory at the Millennium Stadium over West Ham to lift the Cup.

Liverpool ran out 5-3 winners in an exciting game at Kenilworth Road which saw Xabi Alonso score the fifth from inside his own half.

Rafael Benitez will be hoping his side make a better start to the FA Cup this season after going out in the third round at home to Arsenal last time round.

Team news and more previews to follow.
