Daniel Agger’s agent Per Steffensen has denied reports over the weekend that suggested his player has signed a new £70,000 a week deal to stay at Liverpool.
Agger has been locked in negotiations over his future at Anfield for several months, with AC Milan thought to be interested in bringing the Danish international to Serie A.
Reports in the press this weekend said that a deal had finally be confirmed between the Reds and Agger’s party to keep him put for a further four years.
But Steffensen denies any new deal, telling Norwegian media, “It is simply not correct. There has not been any deal signed with Liverpool.
“Apart from that, I have no comments regarding Daniel’s situation.”
