Traveling Reds issued West Ham notice

Liverpool fans traveling to this Saturday’s Premier League clash away at West Ham have been advised of some important changes to public transport in London.

The games gets underway at 5.30pm, with the Reds looking for their third league victory in a row.

A statement from the club and transport authorities in London reads:

The Hammersmith and City line and the District line will be shut between Barking and Whitechapel on Saturday, September 19. This means that Plaistow, Upton Park and East Ham tube stations will have no London Underground service running to them.

The Hammers have confirmed that signs will be erected along the route from Barking, Canning Town and Forest Gate stations to the stadium for those able to complete their journey by foot. The average walk is estimated to be around 35 minutes.

Tickets for the game have sold out.
