Glen Johnson says he is anticipating and exciting game when Liverpool meet his former club Chelsea at Stamford Bridge tomorrow.
Johnson was sold by Chelsea to Portsmouth two years ago for £4million. The Blues then tried to re-sign the England international right-back, but were beaten by Liverpool this summer who paid around £17.5million for his services.
And after a bright start to his career at Anfield, Johnson is looking forward to facing his former teammates when the two sides meet in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
“It will be massive because you know Chelsea are going to be there or thereabouts at the end of the season and we’d like to think we will be too,” he told Liverpool’s official web site.
“They are doing well, but they have faults like anybody else, just as Wigan found out.
“It’s going to be a massive game.I enjoy every minute that I put on a Liverpool shirt so it’ll be nice to do it against one of the big teams.
“It is against an old club, but that’s all behind me now and I’m just looking forward to doing the best I can for Liverpool now. I’ve got nothing to prove.”
Chelsea vs Liverpool gets underway at 4pm tomorrow (Sunday, 4th October) and is live on Sky Sports.
