TIA Remembers Ken Bigley

This Is Anfield would like to pay tribute today to Ken Bigley, murdered 5 years ago today.

Ken – a proud scouser from Anfield – was as an innocent civilian working in Iraq to support his family. He was just weeks away from his retirement and the birth of his first grandchild. He was survived by his brothers, his mother and his wife Sombat and is sadly missed by many.

Ken is perhaps best remembered as a truly decent human being, a proud family man and ultimately a symbol of the fraternity and solidarity of the people of Liverpool. We offer our sincerest condolences to Ken’s family and we salute them for their strength and determination throughout these five years against the face of overwhelming adversity.
