The boss has opted for David Ngog to partner Fernando Torres up front, with Steven Gerrard partnering Lucas in midfield. Alberto Aquilani takes a rest after starting two games in a week.
Youngster Stephen Darby gets the nod at right back in Glen Johnson’s absence, while Fabio Aurelio returns to the side on left midfield.
