Wolves 0-0 Liverpool

Liverpool slumped back into mediocrity as they were disappointingly held to a goalless draw by Wolves at Molineux on Tuesday night.

Molineux witnessed a scrappy, sloppy game littered with poor passing, a poor pitch and very few opportunities for either side.

Steven Gerrard returned to the Liverpool side but failed to make his presence felt. Maxi Rodriguez made his full debut for the club but much like the rest of his teammates was unable to produce anything worthy of winning the game.

After the confidence boosting win over Spurs last week, this is another setback for Liverpool, especially with Spurs having won this evening. The Reds failed to create any clear cut chances against joint third-bottom Wolves and showed little inspiration throughout, including Rafa Benitez’s subs – or lack of them.

Wake us up when the season ends.
