Liverpool get their pre-season campaign underway this evening after their first arranged friendly, against Saudi Arabian Champions Al-Halil, was postponed on Saturday due to a waterlogged pitch.
In Roy Hodgson’s first match in charge, a Liverpool squad – minus the players who played in this year’s World Cup – fight for their place in Hodgson’s new-look Reds.
Liverpool will also sport the new Standard Chartered sponsored kit for the first time, after the banking giants took over club sponsorship from Danish brewers Carlsberg.
The line-up is anyone’s guess, with Hodgson taking a large squad out to their pre-season training facilities in Switzerland.
Grasshoppers are from Zurich and play at the Letzigrund stadium currently, with a capacity of 25,000. They play in a Blackburn Rovers-esque blue and white kit.
