Liverpool’s Premier League clash away at Blackpool today (Boxing Day) has been postponed due to a frozen pitch at the seaside town.
It is the Reds’ second consecutive game to be postponed due to England’s icy and snowy conditions, after last Saturday’s encounter with Fulham at Anfield was called off.
The Blackpool fixture has been rearranged for 8pm on Wednesday, 12th January 2011 – although if freezing temperatures continue to happen, what’s the odds that the game won’t be played then either?
Ticket holders for the game are entitled to keep their tickets, which will be valid for the rearranged game, or return them to Liverpool Football Club for a full refund by January 6th 2011.
Liverpool next play Wolves at Anfield on 29th December (Wednesday) with an 8pm kick-off, though back on Merseyside Everton‘s home game with Birmingham was called off today so fingers crossed.
