Pacheco completes Norwich switch

Liverpool striker Dani Pacheco has completed a loan move to Norwich City until the end of the season.

Pacheco joins the Canaries under the emergency loan system, signing on the same day as Sam Vokes from Wolves.

Norwich are second in the Championship and confident of promotion to the Premier League, however their team has recently been hit hard by injury.

The experience for Pacheco will surely be invaluable, after failing to break into the first team reguarly this season under two different managers at Liverpool.

Norwich boss Paul Lambert welcomed the Spanish U-21 international to the club. He said, “Dani Pacheco is a lad we’ve seen playing for Liverpool’s first team this season and I’ve been talking to Kenny Dalglish about him for a few weeks now.

“He’s technically very good as you’d expect having been with clubs like Barcelona and Liverpool and the fact that he’s away with Spain’s Under-21s side at the moment speaks volumes for his ability and potential.”

The deals must now only be cleared by the Football Association, but Pacheco stands in line to make his debut for Norwich a week on Saturday at home to Scunthorpe.
