Henderson arrives at Liverpool but Jones snubs Reds?

England Under-21 midfielder Jordan Henderson has arrived at Melwood to undergo a medical before completing a £20million switch from Sunderland.

The 20-year-old is expected to put pen to paper on a five-year contract with Liverpool later today, in a deal that sees Reds striker David Ngog move to the Stadium of Light.

Earlier this morning, it was thought that Blackburn centre-back Phil Jones would also be at Melwood today in view of a switch, but reports now suggest he is set to sign for Manchester Utd.

Bookies had suspended betting on Jones signing for Kenny Dalglish‘s side, but reports say 19-year-old Jones is now at Man Utd to undergo a medical with Alex Ferguson’s men.

As we reported last night, Liverpool are still hopeful of signing Blackpool midfieler Charlie Adam for around £8million, whilst Birmingham’s Liverpool-born defender Scott Dann has been linked this lunch time.
