Suarez to be brought back with caution

Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish says he, the club and Luis Suarez will work together on how to bring the Uruguayan striker back into action at the right time.

Suarez played a major part in Uruguay’s Copa America win last month and will only join back up with his Liverpool teammates next week, just days before the start of the new Premier League season.

With no pre-season friendlies under his belt, Suarez will be handled with care in order for him to reproduce the sort of form which instantly made him a fans favourite following his £23million move from Ajax in Janaury.

“Luis will be back next week and we’ll start thinking about him then,” said Dalglish.

“We’ll just see with Luis when he comes in. He’s had a fantastic summer. He was fantastically successful in the Copa America both as an individual and as a team player.

“He should be happy with himself and pretty confident looking forward to the start of the season.

“We need to be careful with every player. We’ll see how he is when he comes in and have a discussion with him. We can’t predict how he is going to be.”
