LFC Line-up vs Wolves: No Gerrard, Spearing and Bellamy return

Steven Gerrard is not involved in the squad for this evening’s Premier League clash away to Wolves at Molineux.

The Reds’s skipper has the night off with a reported slight injury and to avoid him burning out after an action packed week which saw the Reds beat both Manchester City in the League Cup and Manchester United in the FA Cup.

Jay Spearing fills the skipper’s boots in the centre of midfield alongside Charlie Adam, Jordan Henderson and Dirk Kuyt.

Craig Bellamy returns to the starting line-up after starting on the bench in the 2-1 victory over Man Utd on Saturday. The Welshman plays alongside Andy Carroll.

Jamie Carragher, Stewart Downing and Jonjo Shelvey are amongst the subs.

The Reds will be hoping they can carry their Cup form into the league tonight and earn some much needed points at 19th placed Wolves.

Tonight is the final match of Luis Suarez’s 8-match suspension.

Liverpool: Reina, Johnson, Agger, Skrtel, Enrique, Spearing, Adam, Henderson, Kuyt, Carroll, Bellamy. Subs: Doni, Aurelio, Coates, Downing, Carragher, Shelvey, Kelly.

Wolves: Hennessey; Foley, Johnson, Berra, Ward, Jonsson; Kightly, Frimpong, Edwards, Jarvis, Fletcher.

Kick-off at Molineux is 7.45pm.
