Liverpool have been linked with former Arsenal youngster Håvard Nordtveit.
The 21 year old defensive midfielder is now playing for Borussia Mönchengladbach and told Norweigan press “I know that Liverpool are keeping tabs on me.”
Nordtveit has been a consistent performer for the German side – who have been this season’s surprise package in the Bundesliga.
His style of play is described as very mature for his age, physically robust, keeps things simple and has excellent movement and positioning.
He left Arsenal in 2010, for £800,000, with Arsene Wenger reportedly disappointed to lose him after a successful loan spell at Nuremberg where he was first used as a defensive midfielder, having previously been recognised as a centre-back.
