Liverpool FC “monitoring” Barcelona attacker Tello

Liverpool are monitoring Barcelona’s Christian Tello, according to Spanish journalist Guillem Balague.

Spaniard Tello, 20, has made 12 appearances for the Catalan giants this season, scoring an impressive seven goals – including two on his Champions League debut as sub against Leverkusen a fortnight ago.

Pep Guardiola has started to include the Spain youth international in the Barca first team since the turn of the year as his contract is up in the summer and obviously has plenty of clubs interested in luring him away from the Nou Camp.

Balague wrote on his Twitter that Tello is being monitored by Liverpool and “would cost 10M Euros” but that Barcelona are “favourites to renew his contract”.

Last month the Daily Mail reported that “Barca may consider an offer that included a buy-back option, similar to the deals which took Oriol Romeu to Chelsea and Bojan to Roma.”

Liverpool are also reported to be monitoring seventeen year old Danish winger Lucas Andersen, who is currently at Aalborg.
