Swansea 1-0 Liverpool – let the summer of rebuilding begin

Match Summary
Liverpool’s dire league campaign ended in a fitting way, going down 1-0 at Swansea City, who survived their first season in the Premier League.

An altered Liverpool side without Pepe Reina and Martin Skrtel finished the season conceding an 86th minute winner from Danny Graham at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

It caps off a miserable campaign for Kenny Dalglish and his squad, who, although they won the Carling Cup and got to the FA Cup Final, finish the season in 8th place.

It was a typical end of season performance from the Reds and questions will heighten over Dalglish’s immediate future at the club, as well as several first team players.

When the final whistle went, Liverpool fans took a dissapointed sigh of relief that it’s all over, for now. Let the summer begin.
