Barcelona are set to renew their interest in Liverpool’s Daniel Agger with a £12 million bid, according to reports in Spain on Sunday.
The Daily Mail say that Spanish newspaper Sport are reporting an imminent offer for the Danish international.
Agger has been linked with a move to the Catalan giants before, but always maintained he will stay at Liverpool for as long as he’s wanted.
The 29-year-old’s first-team opportunities may be limited at Anfield following the signings of Mamadou Sakho last summer and Dejan Lovren, who is expected to complete a £20 million move from Southampton this weekend.
The St Mary’s exodus might not be stopping there if the Mail on Sunday is correct (via Daily Mirror), suggesting Brendan Rodgers is keen to sign attacker Jay Rodriguez.
Rodriguez is currently sidelined until October following surgery on a ruptured anterior cruciate, which ended his hopes of going to the World Cup with England.
Meanwhile Pepe Reina‘s future continues to be up in the air with the Sunday People reporting that he is being considered as a back-up option at Bayern Munich by former Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola.
Liverpool are in pre-season action on Sunday night, facing Greek champions Olympiacos at Chicago’s Soldier Field.
