Reports on Monday from Italy claimed a four-year-deal had been agreed for the player, whose contract expires at Anfield this summer. Those have now been confirmed by his agent.

“Yes, I can confirm that there is an agreement between Milan and Suso on a four-year contract,” his agent Jaime Serra told The Liverpool Echo.

“There’s a possibility (he will arrive in January). We’ll just have to see what happens between now and the end of the transfer window.”

The 21-year-old, who Liverpool signed as a youngster from Cadiz in 2010, has been sidelined for the last three months with an injury, having scored on his last appearance (his first competitive goal for the club) in the League Cup match against Middlesbrough.

Suso has made 21 appearances for the club so far, the majority of which arrived in the early months of Brendan Rodgers‘ first season at the club. He spent last season on loan to La Liga side Almeria.
