Alberto Moreno says he is a big fan of Jurgen Klopp‘s “intense” footballing philosophy on the eve of the German’s first match in charge of Liverpool.
The Reds go to Tottenham on Saturday lunchtime with Klopp looking to turn around a poor run of form which has seen just one win within 90 minutes in nine games.
The 48-year-old German has only had a few days to work with most of his squad due to the recent international break, but Moreno explains he is already implementing his fresh approach at the club.
Moreno, who scored in the corresponding fixture at White Hart Lane last season, told the club’s official website, “He has said to us that he wants an intense team – a team in which everybody has to run.
“He doesn’t want individualism and I like this way of thinking. He wants us working together, he wants us to be a team all of the time, and I like this idea.
“I think it matches my way of playing. I am always aggressive, energetic and give my all, so it matches Klopp’s style of playing.
“Above all, we need to keep working – to keep working hard to make a place for myself in the team and keep working under his orders.”

Much has been made of Klopp’s attack-minded, exciting football methods and Moreno says it’s now up to the players to implement it on the pitch.
“He demands a lot of intensity during training, he wants us playing full throttle,” Moreno added added.
“He brings passion and emotion to each training session and that is, in my opinion, the key to making us feel together.
“He is passionate about football, he loves football and he transmits that to us. Now we have to take that onto the pitch.”
