Trent Alexander-Arnold reveals new look with bold hairstyle change

Over a year ago, Trent Alexander-Arnold vowed that he would not get a haircut until the resumption of football – now, he has opted for a new look with his grown-out hair.

“Not cutting my hair until football’s back,” Alexander-Arnold tweeted on May 24, 2020.

Liverpool had not played since March 11, and were working their way back into full training following government guidelines that saw them begin with non-contact work.

The Reds ended that campaign in style, and it appears as though their right-back still hasn’t opted to cut his hair – bar a fade here and there – with the end result shared on Tuesday.

Heir Designs, a natural hair care specialist, posted the before and after shots of Alexander-Arnold’s transformation on Instagram, with the No. 66 deciding on box braids:

It is a drastic change for the 22-year-old, who is trying something new during his down time with a quad injury that forced him out of the England squad for the Euros.

Alexander-Arnold shared another angle of his new look on his Instagram story, emulating Mohamed Salah in debuting a different hairstyle during the off-season.

Liverpool will return for pre-season at Kirkby on July 12, and the right-back is expected to be back fit in time for the first day of training, hopefully along with Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip.

New signing Ibrahima Konate will also be part of the squad, giving Jurgen Klopp an opportunity to work with the majority of his senior defenders for the entire summer.

Andy Robertson and Neco Williams are both at the Euros, however, though Scotland suffered defeat to the Czech Republic in their Group D opener and are still to play England and Croatia.
