He’s been linked with a move to Liverpool for a couple of years, but today French striker Loic Remy was relegated with QPR, just as speculation grows about his next club.

Rangers were held to a 0-0 draw away at Reading, relegating both teams from the Premier League.

Remy looks set to leave West London now, despite only signing for the club in the January transfer window.

The Daily Express say Liverpool are preparing a bid for the 26-year-old as they look to options of how to start next season without the suspended Luis Suarez.

The paper reports:

Liverpool will try to bring in French international Remy, who is expected to leave QPR in the summer once relegation is confirmed, the player having an £8m release clause.

Meanwhile, The Mirror report that Arsenal are also interested in capturing the signature of the forward, who has scored 5 goals in 10 appearances for QPR.

Remy has just one appearance for France, but his prolific scoring record for Marseille brought him to the attention of several of Europe’s top clubs.

He’s scored 5 goals for QPR since his £8m move in January.
