Video: Luis Alberto highlights vs Newcastle Utd

Second half substitute Luis Alberto continued to win new fans on Saturday for his exploits against Newcastle in Liverpool’s 2-2 draw.

The Spaniard impressed again, showing maturity and intelligence in the middle of Liverpool’s midfield, providing a much-needed catalyst between defence and attack.

LUIS ALBERTO is a fantastic young player who needs more game time.I’m looking forward to see how BR can develop him.His introduction and a formation change sparked life and extra creativity into our performance.

Frankly speaking he is a lot more better than Moses.Moses is definitely good for the left wing and occasionally drift into the centre.I hope BR would use Alberto more in the No 10 role.

VM had a good start against SWANSEA but has struggled since SUAREZ returned to the team. However before you hear me making statements like LA “is a much better player than MOSES” I’d like to see him prove it on the pitch first.
A half hour cameo despite being encouraging doesn’t cut it.MOSES though has to improve because we have hungry young players that want first team action!

Agreed 30 minutes is a lot different than 90. Think LA has done enough to earn a shot though.

Coutinho will be back soon, so that will make things interesting.

He was excellent at keeping possession and linking up play; granted it was against 10 men, but he took the initiative. He could turn out to be a very good player for Liverpool if he is managed correctly.

Wow! Barely came on for half an hour but he made his presence felt. Proper footballer this lad.

He made a impression when he came on, good player and he only 20, good future ahead of him.

Alberto looks like one for the future but his game seems very well rounded and developed, even right now. I’m pretty sure he’d get a good run of games if we were in the Europa League right now along with Aspas, Borini, Sterling and others.

Agger can play the libero from the back, I’d still pick Lucas or Allen as the deepest midfielder.
