Anfield was at its atmospheric best last night, producing the best rendition of You’ll Never Walk Alone since the Man City match in 2013/14.
Video above is from The RedmenTV, shot from on the Kop before the match.
The fans played their part, getting in early to ensure the players were given a rousing reception during their final warm-up before the match. Fields of Anfield Road was being sung half an hour before kick off.
After the game captain Jordan Henderson noted the fans creating an atmosphere early, while Jurgen Klopp puffed his cheeks and smiled as he walked down the tunnel 15 minutes before kick.
After the match, Klopp said of the atmosphere: “It was unbelievable. I want to say thank you to everyone who was involved it was easy to enjoy from the first to last second.
“That was Liverpool as I knew it before I came here. It was really great.”
