Everton v Liverpool

It’s the first Merseyside derby of the 2008/09 season as Liverpool make the short trip across Stanley Park to face Everton.

Rafa Benitez will bring back first team faces after resting them in the Carling Cup in midweek, with Javier Mascherano set to return to midfield after missing last week’s draw with Crewe and add some steal to the Reds’ midfield.

Forward Robbie Keane, yet to score his first goal for the club, will make his Merseyside derby debut, as could winger Albert Riera on the left.

This fixture last season saw Liverpool controversially take all three points courtesy of Dirk Kuyt’s penalty in a 2-1 win.

Kick off is 12:45, live on Sky Sports.
