Liverpool are very close to officially announcing the signing of defender Daniel Alves from Sevilla, according to reports on Friday.
Sevilla are said to have reluctantly agreed a fee of just under £10million for the Brazilian, and today look to have signed his replacement ‘“ Andreas Hinkel from VFB Stuttgart.
If Alves signs, he will be Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez’s second signing of the summer following the capture of Blackburn Rovers’ Welsh striker Craig Bellamy on Thursday.
The Spanish manager is also expected to sign a new right-winger to strengthen his first team before the start of the season.
