Reports over the weekend suggest that Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez could be prepared to offer Birmingham City left-back Djimi Traore as part of a swap deal for Jermaine Pennant.
Benitez is said to be very interested in bringing the former Arsenal midfielder to Anfield this summer. Traore has already been told that he can look for a new club and this could be the ideal solution.
Reports suggest Benitez will offer Traore plus £3million in an attempt to prise Pennant away from St Andrews.
