Djimi Traore is expected to complete a £2million move to Charlton Athletic in the next 24 hours.
The Liverpool defender has been told by Reds boss Rafael Benitez that he is no longer part of his plans at Anfield and was asked to find a new club.
Traore has had a successful career at Liverpool since his transfer from Laval for £750,000 in 1999. He leaves Anfield having won every trophy except for the Premiership.
The French defender is expected to put pen to paper on a deal at The Valley under new manager Ian Dowie today and be unveiled as a Charlton player by Wednesday.
Everyone at This Is Anfield would like to thank Djimi for his loyal seven year service to the club and wish him the best of luck in the future..
