Reds fly to Milan, with Mascherano

Liverpool have flown to Milan and trained in the San Siro ahead of their crucial second leg match with Inter on Tuesday night, and are boosted by Javier Mascherano’s presence after the Argentinian midfielder missed the 3-0 win over Newcastle on Saturday.

Manager Rafa Benitez will be hoping his midfield enforcer will be passed fit for the match in the San Siro and enable him to play Mascherano as they look to protect their 2 goal lead from the first leg three weeks ago.

Apart from Mascherano’s doubt and long term injury victims Andriy Voronin and Daniel Agger, Benitez only has full back Steve Finnan ruled out.

Update: Xabi Alonso has not flown to Milan and is ruled out of the match with his wife due to give birth anytime soon!
