Next Up: Chelsea (A) – Crunch time

Liverpool are 90 minutes away from reaching their third European Cup final in four years. But Chelsea have the advantage as Rafael Benitez takes his men to Stamford Bridge for the second leg of this Champions League semi-final tie.

John Arne Riise’s last minute own goal at Anfield last week gave Chelsea hope, canceling out Dirk Kuyt’s first half opener which had looked to give Liverpool the advantage.

The Reds welcome back the likes of Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres after Saturday’s 2-2 draw at Birmingham City.

Fabio Aurelio’s season looks to be over through injury, so John Arne Riise is expected to fill in for the Brazilian at left-back.

Needing to score, Benitez may opt to go with a two-man strike force. Peter Crouch’s recent scoring success may just earn him a starting place on Wednesday night.

Kick-off at Stamford Bridge is 7.45pm and the match is live on Sky Sports.
