It’s Rafael Benitez’s men’s final friendly before the season gets underway, with Standard Liege in the Champions League 3rd Round Qualifier on Wednesday night and Sunderland away on Saturday in the Premier League.
The Reds will be without captain Steven Gerrard, who picked up an injury during the first half of Liverpool’s game against Valerenga in Oslo on Tuesday night.
Defender Martin Skrtel also misses the match with a groin strain picked up in last Saturday’s 4-0 victory over Rangers at Ibrox.
