Reds face Belgians in qualifier

Liverpool will play Standard Liege of Belgium in their Champions League 3rd Qualifying Round tie.

The draw for the final round of qualifiers was made this morning, with the Reds drawn to play away in the first leg on the 12/13 August.

The return leg at Anfield will be played on 26/27 August, shortly into the new domestic season.

Liverpool will hope to progress to the competition which has seen them reach two finals and a semi-final in the last four years.

Fellow English side Arsenal drew FC Twente of Holland, now managed by former England boss Steve McLaren and Rangers, who the Reds face in a friendly tomorrow at Ibrox, will face the winner of Aalborg vs Modrica.
