Loan Watch: Anderson on target

Liverpool winger Paul Anderson was on target for Nottingham Forest on Saturday, although his goal could not prevent the Championship side slipping to defeat to ten-man Norwich.

Forest are currently bottom and six points adrift of Watford in 21st place, having won just twice this season. Anderson has featured in 7 league matches after starting the season injured.

He scored his first goal for the club with a neat finish on the turn after dribbling down the left and beating the defender.

Elsewhere, Leicester moved to the top of League One with victory at Scunthorpe, but neither of their two Liverpool loanees started the match. Goalkeeper David Martin was an unused sub while defender Jack Hobbs, who had impressed early on in the season, came on as sub late on.

Back in the Championship, Adam Hammill has impressed at Blackpool but the Reds midfielder couldn’t prevent Blackpool losing to league leaders Wolves. Hammill has featured in 16 of Blackpool’s games already and scored once against Preston earlier in the season.
