Masch feels nothing for Hammers

Liverpool midfielder Javier Mascherano says he feels nothing for former club West Ham, as the two teams prepare to meet at Anfield on Monday night.

Macherano was brought to the Premier League by the Hammers in a controversial deal with fellow Argentina international Carlos Tevez, now at Manchester United.

However despite the risk of bringing Mascherano at Upton Park, he was not favoured and only made a handful of first team appearances before sealing a switch to Liverpool, which was made permanent last season.

Now the captain of his country, Mascherano told press, “I don’t feel anything about them. My club is Liverpool, and I do the best for the people here, my team-mates and supporters.

“I do not think about anything now at West Ham. West Ham is nothing in my life now because I was not able to play there.

“It is just another team in the Premier League. I do not feel anything else.

“The important thing now for me is to win with Liverpool and to keep going. We want to be top of the table and we must just keep going.”

Liverpool vs West Ham is on Monday, December 1st with an 8pm kick-off. Stay tuned to This Is Anfield over the weekend for the latest team news and match previews.
