Bosingwa sorry for malicious attack

Chelsea‘s Jose Bosingwa has sheepishly apologised for his disgusting attack on Yossi Benayoun at the end of Liverpool’s 2-0 victory over the Blues at Anfield.

Sore loser Bosingwa was unable to cope with watching his side concede two late goals from Fernando Torres, the Reds’ second victory over the London club this season.

The Portuguese fullback kicked out at Benayoun when the Reds midfielder was trying to tick down the seconds by holding the ball in the corner quadrant, just seconds before full-time.

Bosingwa, who as it has been previously reported on This Is Anfield that he will escape punishment from the Football Association, said, “My action was a mistake and because of nerves. I am sorry and I have explained myself to the coach.

“It’s always frustrating to lose big games and especially in this way. It was important to get points and not to let Manchester United go. That didn’t happen, so we are upset, and United must be favourites for the title now, but we are not giving up.”

A pretty lame apology ‘“ not even to Benayoun himself ‘“ from a disgrace of a footballer.
