Tranmere Rovers confirmed yesterday at a Liverpool XI will play at Prenton Park as part of their pre-season preparations.
Tranmere vs Liverpool XI will kick-off at 7.45pm on Friday, 24th July.
Former Reds captain and now manager of Tranmere, John Barnes, said, “This will be a great chance for my squad to show what they can do and hopefully both sets of fans will enjoy the game.
“I look forward to welcoming my old Club to Prenton Park ahead of the new season.”
Earlier this month it was announced that Liverpool Reserves will play their home games at Prenton Park from next season.
