Next Up: West Ham (a)

After the midweek Champions League victory over Debrecen at Anfield, Liverpool head down to London looking for their third Premier League victory in a row.

West Ham have had a difficult start to the season and after losing 1-0 to Wigan last weekend, find themselves down in 13th position in the Premier League table.

The Reds could welcome back both Javier Mascherano and Fabio Aurelio from injury, both of whom made late substitutes appearances against Debrecen.

Alberto Aquilani and Nabil El Zahr remain sidelined through injury whilst Ryan Babel’s recall to the squad on Wednesday could see him make a claim for a first team start.

Liverpool briefly went top of the table after beating the Hammers 3-0 in this fixture last season back in May. Steven Gerrard scored twice and Ryan Babel go the other that day. [Match Report]

Kick-off at Upton Park is 5.30pm.
