Benitez excited by Ancelotti test

Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez says he is looking forward to coming head to head with Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti when then the two sides meet in the Premier League this weekend.

It will be the third time Benitez has faced a side managed by Ancelotti after the Italian was coach of AC Milan in Liverpool’s 2005 European Cup Final victory in Istanbul and again when Milan beat the Reds 2-1 in the 2007 European Cup Final.

Benitez told reporters ahead of this Sunday’s game, “It will be interesting because he is a great manager. We have played in finals, so it will good to see him and hopefully we will meet in another final.

“He knows how to manage a top side, he has experience at AC Milan. He is also doing a good job here and has good players too.

Chelsea haven’t changed too much. They have changed the shape of the team a bit, but the style is still similar. Their fans are happy because when you win games everyone is happier.”

Chelsea vs Liverpool gets underway at 4pm tomorrow – Sunday, 4th October – and is live on Sky Sports.
