Liverpool surrender lead to leave Champions League hopes hanging by a thread

Match Summary
Liverpool conceded a 90th minute equaliser in a heartbreaking 1-1 draw with Lyon on Wednesday night.

Ryan Babel had scored a screamer of what looked like to be the match winner seven minutes from time when he fired in from 30 yards.

But Liverpool’s defence was caught out just minutes later when Lisandro broke through to finish past Pepe Reina.

With Fiorentina beating Debrecen 5-2 in Italy, the result means Liverpool must win their final two Champions League games and hope that Fiorentina slip up to Lyon in order to qualify out of the group stage.
