Stoke currently sit 10th in the league table, six points behind Liverpool who will be looking to close the gap on fourth placed Man City who are three places and five points above the Reds.
Glen Johnson, Martin Kelly and Nabil El Zhar are definately out injured, while Javier Mascherano returns from his four game suspension for his red card against Portsmouth last month.
