Andriy Voronin is set to become the second Liverpool misfit to leave the club later today, manager Rafa Benitez has confirmed.

Andrea Dossena has completed his £4.4m return to Italy with Napoli today, and Voronin will join Russian side Dynamo Moscow.

30 year old Ukranian forward Voronin will cost Dynamo around £1.5m. He arrived at Anfield on a free transfer from Bayer Leverkusen 18 months ago but has failed to establish himself.

Speaking at his press conference at Melwood on Friday, Benitez said of Voronin’s move “We were talking with Dynamo Moscow and it’s also very close. The player is talking with them and we’re also just waiting for the paperwork.

“The weather conditions have made it impossible to progress with these things but I think it could be done within a few hours.”
