It’s another early kick-off, 6pm, and with an important Premier League clash against Portsmouth coming up on Monday night, Rafa Benitez may be cautious (no surprise there then).
However this could be an ideal outing for Glen Johnson, just back from 12 games on the sidelines with injury, to regain some match fitness. The right-back has been sorely missed, with little attacking spark down our right side of late.
