On loan Liverpool midfielder Jay Spearing scored for 10 man Leicester as they beat Watford 4-1 to consolidate their place in the Championship play-offs.
Spearing scored his first goal in professional football on 51 minutes, finishing from inside the penalty area.
The diminutive midfielder has been on loan to Nigel Pearson’s side since the beginning of March, making four appearances before today.
Leicester are now fifth and look set to secure a place in the play-offs meaning Spearing could eventually be the first Liverpool player to play at the new Wembley!
Elsewhere today, goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi made his debut in league football for Tranmere. The Hungarian has been a regular in the reserves this season and was called up on emergency loan. Rovers defeated Exeter 3-1 but remain in the League One relegation zone.
