Football agents, they’re a disease on the game aren’t they. No sooner had Fernando Torres signaled he was happy with the appointment of Roy Hodgson, his agent was talking up a move elsewhere.
Torres’ agent said “It is very likely that Fernando Torres will stay in the Premier League, but I cannot say that it will be with Liverpool.
“We are working on his future but right now you cannot guarantee that he will stay with the English club.”
Why can’t he keep his mouth shut until after the World Cup and once Hodgson has had chance to speak with and show Torres his intentions for the future. Oh, agents are money grabbing plagues only outdone by the antics of George Gillett and Tom Hicks, that’s why.
Meanwhile, The Mirror reports Glen Johson is a target for former manager Rafa Benitez at Inter Milan. Brazilian right back Maicon is wanted by Jose Mourinho at Real Madrid meaning Benitez will attempt to sign the England international, apparently.
