Roy Hodgson hands a big chance to youngster Jonjo Shelvey tonight as Liverpool take on Napoli in the Europa League.

18-year-old Shelvey was signed right at the end of Rafa Benitez’s reign at Anfield from Charlton, and starts tonight alongside David N’gog up front.

With Hodgson resting Steven Gerrard, Fernando Torres, Lucas and Raul Meireles from this game, and with Daniel Agger, Glen Johnson and Dirk Kuyt out injured, there are also starts for Martin Kelly, Christian Poulsen, Jay Spearing, Milan Jovanovic and Ryan Babel.

Liverpool: Reina, Kelly, Carragher, Skrtel, Konchesky, Poulsen, Spearing, Jovanovic, Shelvey, Babel, Ngog. Subs: Jones, Kyrgiakos, Aurelio, Wilson, Maxi, Cole, Eccleston.

Kick-off at the San Paolo stadium is 6pm and the game is live on ITV4 in the UK.

Head to the forums now for all the pre-match and in-game discussion with the fans. There’s also a lot of rumours about Hodgson’s time at the club, so head to the forums for that too!
