Young Spanish centre back Daniel Ayala has returned to Liverpool following a persistent injury that has seen him miss Hull City‘s last five games.
Ayala, 20, has spent the opening half of the season at the KC Stadium, making 12 appearances and scoring once.
Tigers boss Nigel Pearson had hoped to extend the 6ft 3in defender’s loan but his injury problem has scuppered that and he has now returned to Liverpool for treatment – although a later loan cannot be ruled out once the injury is resolved.
